Um no. Kind of emphatically IMO.
The core issue seems to be most expeditiously having replies go vs where
you and others intend/want/expect them to go. Bringing in an entirely
different "reply to" address than either the direct (list) or indirect
(poster) source of the original post complicates things even more and makes
them even less likely to work right. People have already said they don't
always remember to look where a reply is going. At least the current
settings make it possible to just get in the habit of using "reply to all"
on the list as a relatively no-brainer way to make that a non-issue. Having
to notice if something is now coming from a new address (already moved by
others to the discussion list) or deciding if it should now be sent there
by you, then remembering what that new address is -since it's not on the
existing message- and remembering to set the replies properly seems to be
an option with a pretty low likelihood of success.
