I strongly advise that it be posted a few times (and then
discontinued). RTFM and faqs.org are the best known archive sites but
are far from the only ones -- as anyone who's ever googled their own
FAQ knows. Most or all of these pick up postings from Usenet, rather
than from the RTFM archive as faqs.org does.

It needs to be posted at least once to flush out the other copies. In a
recent thread here, someone else pointed out that some of these other
archives are relatively flaky and may not pick up every posting, so it
should at least be posted several times over a period of a few months.
This still won't flush them all, but it's a lot better than never
posting it.
