Back in 1995, the old newsgroup rec.sport.rugby was split into two
newsgroups (rsr.union and rsr.league). At that moment, the old group ceased
to exist.
The FAQ for rec.sport.rugby.union has been approved and can be found
through the FAQ Consortium. It stands there, however, next to the FAQ for
rec.sport.rugby, which has apparently never been deleted from the server.
If I understand the FAQ at faqs.org correctly, a FAQ can only be removed
from the Consortium when the maintainer asks so. In this case, I would find
that harsh. After all, what has the FAQ for a dead newsgroup, which hasn't
been posted since 1995, to do on the Consortium? Moreover, the listing of
two FAQS, could be confusing and point people to an outdated document for a
non-existing newsgroup.
Would it be possible to get this document off the server and is there
anything that I should do in this respect?
Kind regards,
