The "putting one's eggs all in one basket" case would depend on how
much stake I had in deja.com. I personally don't think that listing
deja.com's URL counts as an endorsement. It's simply what's
available, unacceptable as that may be. But that's only from my
perspective.... their might very well be other criteria that bear on
your decision, and I think it's certainly a FAQ maintainer's
prerogative to be able to select whom he or she wishes to list or not.

For example, I dropped mention of Adobe and Framemaker from the Linux
FAQ, but that's because their beta version is due to expire on
Dec. 31, and they're discontinuing a Linux port. So I have good,
verifiable reason to do so. I wouldn't drop a listing because I
didn't like the way their domain name was spelt, or something equally
peurile. That's a good way to alienate people when they read
something.

Having said that, I will keep on the lookout for alternatives to
deja.com.
