I was recently flamed for the simple act of posting the FAQ (which I
have been posting for 6 years now). The person complained that I
should not be posting such a large document (66K) to newsgroups, and
that I should only provide a URL for people to look at. This person
and a group of his online friends post upwards of 200-300 off topic
messages per DAY to the newsgroup, most of which are of course filled
with useless quoted material. The irony is rich.
