There was a single *.answers moderator, David Lamb, and he fell ill and
found he was unable to carry on with the work. There are a few
volunteers willing to take over, and David is trying to explain the
work to them as best he can, but apparently it's going slowly because
of David's illness.

Until then, *.answers is on automatic: FAQs that have already been
approved are being posted, and the posting robot can handle some
changes automatically, but nothing requiring human intervention,
including approval of new FAQs, is happening.

I'm somewhat surprised that the work is apparently so complicated that
experienced Unix users can't start working almost immediately, without
being "trained" at some length.
