There are five of us currently "in training" as moderators, although due
in part to David's illness, in part to trouble with mutually incompatible
time zones and in part to several random gremlins there is actually only
one person, Duane Ebersole, receiving training.
Though we are all, I believe, experienced and comfortable with Unix, the
system in use at MIT, or at least for FAQ moderation, is somewhat unusual
and the process of approval is slightly non-trivial. Hopefully once Duane
has been trained he will be able to help David to train the rest of us
and we will be able to get the process back to full working order.
