This is regarding the HTML version of the pages. Apparently HTML isn't
enough -- if an FAQ doesn't have Shockwave movies with explosions, it's
just not worth reading. :-)

I remember newsgroup religious wars over whether HTML should have a
<center> tag or not. It went against the spirit of a "markup" language.
HTML as it is used on the web is much more than text markup language now,
something that often gets in the way of conveying information.

OTOH, see http://www.howstuffworks.com/ for an example of how it can
make a technical subject friendly and open.
