I am just pasing on the coment, I think that in at least one case, they
do have a spam filter, but since they are also in business, they still
have to scan the junk before deleting it. In another case, just the
titles are offensive. (I might hear from our work LAN team if I got
some of the mail I get a home in my box at work)

I get the impression that many of the archivbe sites actually start by
mirroring RTFM, the one at mcgill for example.

You send something and wait a few days, and then relaize that you sent
the wrong thing... Karen finaly di dgte it right, but as I indicated she
has stopped posting (at least until she gets a chance to update) I have
just be posting "handralicaly, but in all fairness I should give it
another look.
