Change your posting-frequency header line, then notify the FAQ maintainers in
one of 3 ways
- send e-mail to news-answers-request@mit.edu with a brief message about what
you are changing. You'll get the annoying autoresponder reply, then when we
get around to your message we'll update the LoPIP.
- send your whole FAQ to the FAQ checker at news-answers-submit@rtfm.mit.edu.
You'll get back a message from the FAQ checker about any automatically-
detectable problems, and if there are none it will forward it to us marked
as having passed the checks. We usually handle these messages faster.
- post it, and hope that the FAQ maintainers eventually run the 'routine
archive maintenance' tasks, which will notice when you change posting
frequency. I'd rather you not do this, but it might work eventually, if we
really can keep up the frequency of maintenance.
In any case, currently only human beings ever interpret the
"posting-frequency" header.
