I've never approved of ISPs changing usenet names to make them more
user-friendly. I know alt.sex.bondage readers many years ago was in a real
ruckus because AOL arbitrarily decided to call ASB "For people who like
S&M," which isn't accurate. Not to mention the fact that readers are
maintained in the dark about usenet structure and hierarchy, and the logic
behind the naming convention.
