HipCrime sendsys/supersedes bombing. See news.admin.net-abuse.usenet
or news.admin.net-abuse.email for more detail. In a nutshell,
Hipcrime, John Grubor and various other idiots are issuing messages that
drop people's articles on the floor (supersede), and sendsys mailbombs
you at the same time. FAQs aren't being targetted specifically - he's
trying to wipe out whole groups.

In an attempt to bring this under control, I'm attempting to cancel all
of them - about 80,000 so far, and resurrect the articles they've dropped
on the floor.

The bot accidentally killed a few FAQs before I got the heuristics tuned
properly. My sincere apologies.
