I've been lurking & reading this thread for awhile...
I believe that a cancel-bot (or cancel person) just has to post a message
with a header including the line:
Control: cancel <mess-ID>
where <mess-ID> is the message-ID of the message to cancel.
I use this method myself to kill obvious spam, and stupid test postings.
I've noticed that my faq lasts for about 4 days on *.answers -- maybe mine
was cancelled, too...? Best use of DejaNews, yet!
