Ummmm, I hate to interrupt a flame war in mid-flame, but
this point is extremely important and hasn't really been
addressed.

FAQs are great things, but they should be manageable for
your average 'new-user'. Arguing over transport mechanisms
is most likely a noble endeavor, but it is important to
remember that the ultimate goal of a FAQ is to *minimize* the
frequently asked questions on your own favorite newsgroup.

So, in conclusion, please try to make the FAQs *very simple*
to traverse, since it's the new users that we are trying to
reach. If new users won't read the FAQs, then what is the
point of a FAQ ??
