Granted. Still, I don't think that compromise is out of the
question. It doesn't seem unreasonable to ask people, when
appropriate, to construct their posts in a manner suitable
for one of the historically more common transport mechanisms
on the net, even if that transport mechanism is poorly
suited to certain aspects of the data it's transmitting.
