4. How do I hang an actor?
The general agreement of the group is that you don't. You get a professional to do it. Someone who's done it before and has the insurance to prove it. Please do a usenet search before asking this question on r.a.t.s. - it usually leads to a couple of crackpot answers, the odd reasonable looking answer and a whole stream of the reasons why you shouldn't do it. In most situations you can get away without the effect with some creative staging and lighting.
