Date: Mon Mar 25 10:04:18 PST 1996 For versions of IRIX prior to 6.2, absolutely not. As of 6.2, editing a movie is supported while a movie is bound for playback, and the playback instance will update as the movie is edited, but it is NOT possible to edit a movie that is currently playing--you must call mvStop first.
