Is there a non-proprietary format for geographical/RS images?
Is there a non-proprietary format for geographical/RS images? The GeoTIFF format adds geographic metadata to the standard TIFF format. Geographic data is embedded as tags within an image file. For a detailed description, see the spec. at http://www-mipl.jpl.nasa.gov/cartlab/geotiff/geotiff.html
