My faq is maintained in HTML as the base, and lynx is used to produce
the plain text version for posting in the news.groups. So if the HTML
says
An <a href="http://www.sample.invalid/">example</a> is
that results in text with the format: An example[23] is
with a footnote 23: http://www.sample.invalid/
