# This is extremely unusual. Normally Charles is extremely prompt in replying

# uk.answers, though part of the *.answers system, has its own specific rules
# and requirements (and, as you've seen, its own specific moderator). It may
# help if you think of uk.answers as not a *.answers newsgroup -- if you were
# posting your FAQ to any other moderated newsgroup you would have to comply
# with its specific requirements, whatever your home group is.
#
# Really you should negotiate with Charles -- I realise you've tried to
# unsuccessfully -- since you may be able to find a middle ground on the
# issues that are preventing this FAQ from approval, or a solution that is
# acceptable to both of you.
#
# At the end of the day, if you (for whatever reasons) aren't able to comply
# with the requirements for uk.answers, the only answer is not to post it
# there.
Charles has posted to this list on multiple occasions so he is listening.
It is confusing that uk.answers is NOT a *.answers newsgroup. I can see
the possible difference but it confuses the already specific submission
and approval process. Maybe the news.answers moderation guidelines need
to specifically state what *.answers newsgroups are covered by the permission
to crosspost to the news.answers covered newsgroups. Additionally, when
the approval and permission message is sent to the FAQ author, it should
restate what the authentic *.answers groups are. Then the author is aware
of the limits and need to discuss additional approvals with the regional
hierarchy managers.
