I'm not sure how many people here are aware that faqs.org needs help.
I'm not sure who contributed the cost of bandwidth in the past, but
it's gone. faqs.org is currently using about 3/4 of a T1, so it's a
cost beyond the capabilities of most individuals to donate.
That bandwidth usage also indicates how valuable a resource faqs.org
has become, and how much visibility it provides to the FAQs archived
there.
Kent says that he is looking into long term funding arrangements. In
the mean time, however, the need is immediate. T1 providers don't
generally give credit.
