Well, I suppose I should put a notice in the text version of the FAQ, but
I've had a comment (Copyright) in the web version because of this:
We track our referrals, since we maintain a large and hopefully accurate
link list for our topic (alt.food.peeps http://www.geekbabe.com/peeps/)
and want to know what new pages are linking to us. One morning I saw a
bunch of referrals not to the main pages, but to some photos I took that
were linked only from the web version of the FAQ.
I followed the link on the report and lo and behold this guy had copied
my FAQ almost word-for-word, but removed my name and e-mail and put in
his. He even left the links to some photos of mine in there. What nerve!
I looked around his page some more and found an equally blatant ripoff
of the Peep Dance page (http://www.peepdance/com/).
We listed both of his in our "Links of Shame" category, and last I knew
he had taken them down.
Oh well, such is life on the web.
annie :)
