Actually not. Network Solutions is part of the Afilias consortium that
proposed .info -- see http://www.afilias.com. Some of the other new
gTLDs will be open for competing registrars, like the existing gTLDs,
either immediately or soon. I don't recall the details; see
http://www.icann.org/tlds/ for the basic list. The entire proposals are
on the ICANN web site.
