As everyone else is jumping in... for the s.c.j FAQs/Reading Lists, I use a
combination of a set of perl scripts with lynx -dump -nolist. The perl scripts
do various things. The main one processes an include file that understands
regular includes (no HTML), HTML includes (run through lynx, and make the
first lines after a <HR> into the Subject:), and no-subject HTML include.
Everyone one of the HTML includes is designed only to put into the FAQ the
material between the first and 2nd <HR>s, allowing me to have
headers/footers in the HTML pages. The scripts also generate the diffs and
do the posting for me.
You can see what the currently used HTML source looks like at
www.scjfaq.org; an updated version should be available soon at
master.scjfaq.org (I then will be adjusting the scripts).
