I have attempted in the past to post thru Netscape and other
applications, and all have had this &*(^(&*^( problem of wanting to
MIME-encode flat ASCII text! The result is that I get all these
strange characters in place of actual letters. The only way I found
around this is to use a guaranteed, albeit none-too-fancy plain-text
newsreader line PINE. You will probably overcome the 64kb limitation
in the bargain.
