# How about doing a mirror of www.faqs.org at the search engines? This
# would certainly solve the bandwidth problem, and off the top of my head,
# there shouldn't be any licensing problems. I don't think you'd want to
# make it exclusive to any one engine of course, but unless I'm missing
# something, mirrors could be a solution to this problem.

There is a problem with this approach. Normally www.faqs.org is completely
rebuilt daily. This is done to assure that FAQs.org matches what is on
rtfm.mit.edu's site. It was the easy way out. ;) This complicates mirroring
as most sites don't want a complete fresh copy each day.. I've considered
redoing how/when FAQs are rebuilt, but to date I have not acted on it. (Real
work got in the way.)

I've discussed mirroring with one of the sites and it never went anywhere.
I'll propose it again and see what kind of response I get.
