Please try to maintain a sense of proportion. David is a voluteer
who doesn't feel he should have to put up with being flamed over the
content of FAQs that he didn't write. He said that the addition of
his suggested disclaimer has already reduced this in one case.

Yes, it is an easy way out for David and, as he is a voluteer, why
shouldn't we help to make his job easier? What David wants is only
wrong in your opinion; in my opinion what he wants is perfectly
reasonable.
