Is David, or any other member of the team located outside of the USofA?
Were you tring to say that it wasn't a world-wide thing in Canada, or in
the world?
Canada has it's Charter of Rights and Freedoms guaranteeing our right to
freedom of speech, association, etc., just as every civilized nation
does. On top of that you have United Nations resolutions<?> to that
same effect.
What does slander have to do with anything?

Does it matter how hard or easy it is?
It's easy to lock our doors at night to keep theives away. Should we
really have to do that?
It's easy for me to run over your toes with my wheelchair. Does that
necessarily mean that I should do it?
It's easier to kill a man than to change his mind. Should we really
kill the man, or isn't it better to make the extra effort to change his
mind?
Being easy doesn't make anything right. Being hard doesn't make
anything wrong.
David's solution is an easy way out for him and it's wrong.
