Nope. Works for my lists.

Because it's sensible and useful.

The better question is why is his spam-bouncer too stupid to send its
traffic to the Sender or Return-Path or Errors-To targets, which is
where this kind of response should be aimed. Reply-To: is for replies,
and setting it to the list is Just Fine.
