I've not noticed any garbling, but then I don't use the standard
Windows telnet, either. Also, my FAQ announcement is still changing
almost monthly, so it's more convenient to post it myself, especially
since timing isn't all that important -- every month plus or minus a
week is good enough for my purposes.

TDM TLA. (Too D*** Many Three Letter Acronyms.) I can speak that
protocol, too. B-) It's amazing how easy and how handy they are.

Yes, well, I lean a little bit the UNIX way myself, but Windows
definitely has advantages. I, for example, am a stickler for good-
looking interfaces. The plethora of widget sets and window managers
in the X world makes for a whole lot of butt-ugly programs. It's
all about tradeoffs....
