FAQs are not authoritative. If the other person's FAQ is accepted in the
newsgroup, there is no reason why (s)he shouldn't post it.

See above, unless there is a consensus in the newsgroups _against_ that
FAQ, there is absolutely no reason why mindspring's abuse departmemnt
should do anything. It could be seen as censoring if they would suppress
that FAQ in that situation.

There are no approved or unapproved FAQs. FAQs are just periodic
informational postings. They don't have any special status.
