Personally I believe bad guys do not need to grep through the news.answers.
Usually our FAQs are crossposted to other *.answers, and the newsgroups
where the FAQ documents were written for. Bad guys only need to grep
there.

Of course, bad guys can also grep in news.answers. Here "news.answers"
is no different from the other groups as far as UCE senders are concerned.

However, you raised an interesting question here. Many people (especially
those posting in "news.admin.net-abuse.xxx" hierarchy) have started posting
with modified addresses so human beings with intelligence can resolve them
while programs/machines cannot, like

tcyang@netcom.NOSPAM.com
tc_removethispart_yang@netcom.com
tcyang@netcom.com*

The question is what happens when we do use this kind of modified addresses
when posting to "news.answers".

Several months ago when Chris Lewis posted a question about FAQ cancellation
by rogue people, I somehow got involved with him for some kind of argument
in this FAQ maintainer mailing list (I am very sorry for that), and others
told him it belonged to the net abuse category, not about FAQ Maintainer
mailing list.

However, at that time we did encounter a technical problem about FAQ
postings in news.answers, which could render "news.answers" useless, and
at that time I simply provided my suggestion for the problem to the
"news.answers" moderation team member since I was leaving for a trip
to Canada. This time the question about modified addresses could open
up the Pandora's box again.
