It's possible. However I currently have five active email accounts (don't
ask) and the one I post FAQs with doesn't necessarily get the most ads. I
think more than likely the spammers are simply running software that
culls usenet From: headers. You can munge your address but I haven't had
any luck (I post on trn); the tech support tell me they'll have procmail
running at my ISP hopefully by next week (I bug them so much they now
send me private email to update me), which will allow me to post with one
address but have people email me using a real address (and then direct
the junk to another location).

or visit "Promote Responsible Net Commerce: Fight Spam!" at
http://www.vix.com/spam/.
So far, most things just seem to be band-aid solutions. We need to
provide a double-whammy of legislation and technological advancement
that'll have a bult-in junk email block. I'm sure both are coming in the
fairly near future (with the latter probably happening first).
