A Usenet reader from AOL just asked my to e-mail the FAQ to them
because their mail system will split up messages that are too big, but
the Usenet system doesn't. If you are willing to accept requests of
"please send me the FAQ" from other sites, you should be able to
handle the AOL users.

Because AOL breaks up mail messages, they should also be able to use
FTP mail gateways like the one at decwrl.dec.com.
