I use mpack (a MIME encode/decode program, see
ftp.andrew.cmu.edu:/pub/mpack). It will automatically split the file,
encode it, and mail it off. All I need to do is specify the chunk
size, subject line, and address. And because it's MIME, the recipient
can automatically decode, even if the parts arrive out of sequence.

If they can't read MIME, I tell 'em it's their problem, and they
should get software which obeys the RFCs and either handles MIME mail
or understands news articles of up to 64K.
