A company publishing your FAQ without first obtaining permission (but
asking later when you mention it) is akin to someone trepassing
through your back yard (amid "No Trespassing" signs) and asking after
you happened to see him traipsing across the lawn.

I think a better analogy is if you host a party for the whole town in
your back pation. It's a little unreasonable to expect them to ask for
permission to cross your grass in order to get there.

If you're so concerned about control, WHAT THE BLAZES ARE YOU DOING
POSTING A FAQ TO THE ENTIRE WORLD IN THE FIRST PLACE? Put it on a
floppy in a safe. There. No one can get to it and the information is
safe.

But if you're going to put up a spectacle for the world to see, don't
object if someone hauls out a camera and takes a snapshot. That's life.
