A quick glance reveals that a number of my FAQs (sci-fi-in-music,
paddling, mst3k, music-jam-sessions, etc.) are included. I have
included copyright notices on all of these, and have occasionally
been asked for (and have granted) permission for these to be used
in limited contexts (for example, some of the jam sessions in Canada
were reproduced in a local newsletter).
I am more-or-less rejoining the network community after a sabbatical
of about a year (which is why some of my FAQs are now getting a massive
injection of new info, and why I'm starting to show up again in mailing
lists and newsgroups where I've been absent). I am not very happy that
this is one of the first items I've seen. I'm willing to contribute
funding to get a legal opinion on this. If the legal opinion is that
there's a valid case, I'm willing to contribute funding to that too.

They seem to have missed the American Pie posting, which is probably
because I haven't made it a formal FAQ yet. ;-)
