Should the father be seperated from the mother before the litter is born?

It is recommended to and the life of your pups could be in danger if you let him in the same pen after they're a week old because the dad will start trying to kill them so he can be with the mom. Good luck with the pups!!! Tanisha

I would suggest not letting the dad near the pups, as the mother is in super protective mode and will probably try to hurt him. I am telling you this from experience. I would strongly suggest keeping him away from them.

Male dogs are not good parents and they dont even usually want anything to do with the pups when they are young. leave the parenting to the mother and keep the dad out, he will kill or injure the pups
