I HAVE A 1989 VW JETTA WOLFSBURG EDITION. TWO OF THE POWER WINDOW REGULATORS DO NOT WORK. THERE WERE ONLY 1500 OF THESE CARS MADE. SO THIS PART OF THIS EXACT SAME TYPE OF CAR IS HARD TO FIND. WHAT OTHER CAR CAN I GET THIS REGULATOR FROM THAT WILL FIT ON MY CAR?

Just do what i did ( I have a 1991 Jetta CARAT from the Virgin Islands.) take 2 mechanical regulators(make sure you get the window clamp that goes on the bottom of the glass.) install the mechanicals using the front hole and have a seat on the floor because the geometry of the regulator is going to be wrong and the window will shove forward about half way up. move the bottom of the regulator forward in small increments until you find a position that will let the window go up and down smoothly mark the spot drill it mount it and either get different door cards or cut regulator holes in the new one. or go to this website.

I also have a 1989 VW Jetta GLI Wolfsburg and it can be hard to come across parts. But I have found that ebay and searching on google makes it so easy. Rico is right saying that you can use parts from 1987-1992 Jettas and even from some Passats (depending on the part).

I am very upset with my WB..does anyone have problems with the electrical system failing???  My 2001 already needed a new transmission and now is in for a new computer. They are making me pay for it out of pocket even though they designed the cup holders directly over the radio where condensation from a fast food cup may drip into the COMPUTER SYSTEM on a hot day causing FAILURE to the entire car causing me to loose hours at work, pay for a rental, and not see my child. I love the car... but... yeah sure , buy it.

What is the difference between a regular 1990 jetta and the wolfsburg edition of that year? and how could you tell if they just purchased an aftermarket emblem and put it on?
