A Lhasa Apso that is 1 year old is too young to have puppies, for my opinion it is a puppy with a litter. To check out how many puppies she will have take a x-ray the last week. normally they have between 3-4 puppies.
check out my website for additional information at http://www.el-minjas.com and you click the puppies page and / or the genetica pages, good luck and best regards Frank

Yes 1 year old dogs can have puppies no matter how big they are. But just remember, if you pick up the pregnant dog alot, then you can harm the puppies inside of her.
