how long does it take for marijuana to get out of your system?
if i got high sunday night and i need to take a drug test on thursday will i pass?

It will take even occasional users 13 days on average to dispose of all cannibonites from your system.

If you have a slim figure maybe a shorter time as you wont have as much fat cells for them to be absorbed to.

Depends on the TEST (and if you cheat!)
Generally: urine 3-5 days ;
mouth swab 3-4 weeks ;
hair years, but they only go back 3 months

I believe it takes about a month. Body fat does factor in, the more you have, the bigger the chance it will take longer to get out of your system. many head shops have a drink available that masks the herb, even if you indulged two nights before the test. if you follow its instructions you will pass. I know, because I have.

Hey the pickle juice works drink one cup of that and at least a gallon a week of water and in 7-10 days you will be cleaned out of weed!(for a body type of 166lbs.) If you weight more drink a little more ok! How I know well I smoked and had to take a drug test in 10 day and I passed!!!!!!!!

CANNABIS. The cannabis constituent that produces the high is called Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Delta-9-THC, widely known as THC.) Delta-9-THC enters the bloodstream rapidly after smoking (in minutes) or more slowly when ingested orally (20 minutes to 1.5 hours). It is rapidly metabolised into inert molecules known as metabolites. These chemicals also have the word Tetrahydrocannabinol in them and are called THC, which can be quite confusing. Delta-9-THC is detectable in the blood for a few hours, but none of this active chemical is found in the urine or stored in the fatty tissues such as the liver and brain. What is frequently described as THC'slingering in the body fluids and organs are metabolites of Delta-9-THC, the inert substances that the body disposes of in the urine and excrement, in much the same way as it disposes with Vitamin A. It is these that are detected in the body organs and urine, long after the effects of Delta-9-THC have worn off. These metabolites can linger more than 90 days in some cases. For occasional users, an average of 13 days was recorded. Some people had metabolites detectable for just three days; others found the substances still in the urine after up to 29 days. But a positive body fluid or hair test for cannabis does not mean that the person was under the influence of the substance, or impaired in any way at the time the specimen was collected. All it tells the tester is that the person may or may not have ingested cannabis in the recent past.

depends on how much you smoke. light infrequent smoker could be out of your system in a week or two. Heavy smoker and it could be up to 6 or more weeks.

In response to questions referring to the time it takes the body to
cleanse itself from detectable urine traces, according to a national
report titled, "Drugs, Crime, and the Justice System", (published from the
Bureau of Justice Statistics, U.S. Department of Justice):

Single Use :                               3 Days
Moderate Use (4 times a week):             5 Days
Heavy Use (Daily smoking):                 10 Days
Chronic Heavy Use:                         21-30 Days

Although do keep in mind that there are many factors that effect the
outcome of the tests (potency of drug taken, testing methods,
metabolism, etc.) so this is just a estimate figure-so be careful out there.

For me the best thing to do to get rid of marijuana in your body is to drink lots of water, but more importantly drink cranberry juice! Cranberry juice has things called antioxidants which clean out the system of toxins in your body.

I believe that if you smoke and you have to take a test within the next week your going to fail. Butr drink a whole lot of water and 3-4 weeks you'll be good or you can always have your cousin of lil sister do you a favor. Hint Hint

I heard it takes around 3 weeks. I failed one but only had 4 hours! I drank the horrible drink but was told it would take around 8 hours. A professional'sanswer is needed, instead of everyone guessing.

It all depends on what your weight is and how active/fast your metabolism is.  If you are shorter & skinnier it will generally flush out of your system in 3-5 days.  If you are taller and over weight it could take up to 5 weeks to be completely flushed out.  Drink as much water as you can and stay away from foods in high salt content and try to lower your carb intake.  Working out will also help.  The reason put shows up in your body after you smoke it is because your body stores it in your fat cells. Therefore if you work out/drink lots of water, and avoid food that contains a high amount of salt it could be out of your system in anywhere from 3 - 21 days. (depending on your body weight and height).

I think u r all nuts, it takes up to 2 weeks if u have a small figure. Period. Pickle juice and other drink think fast remedies don't work. I give drug screens.

actually the best way to drain high chemical toxins from the body is to sweat! and excersize! you lazy bums!  Work out, and shrink the fat cells, drink lots of cranberry 100% juice and watch you pass that test.!.  you could also take toxin purifier! from you GNC or vitamin world, if your test is in like a week.  but if you got 3 days till the test, best be sweating and drink lots of beers, as that also help dehydrate your body.  

also, if you really really want to pass your test....... dont smoke weed.

all of you are dumb. i am a regular smoker and i weigh about 140 pounds. i take drug test for my college bball team all the time and i can get it out in 2 days. drink water and run. maybe even go to a steam room. weed doesnt stay in your body more then 3-5 days by doing nothing. unless you are like 300 pounds

You guys you cannot completely just get rid of weed and get it out of ur system because even though it may get out of your urine and blood....your hair follicles catch fumes from the weed and then the weed take about a year to get out of your hair so if u wanna pass a drug test or a hair follicle test i suggest drink a lot of water and shave every piece of hair on your body

i smoked 9 days ago. I'I'm going to the doctor for an annual checkup tomorrow. i obviously have to have to do the whole urine thing and the blood test.. if they're not looking for drugs, can they still find it?

you can take detox but it cost about 50 dollars.  What it does is u drink it 2 days after u smoke.  Then it takes about a day to flush out.

yo dude look i found this great product that gets rid of the chemicals that make you fail drug tests the name is certo and it comes in a liquid,powder,or pills. it can be found at HEB or randalls its takes about 1 week or a week and a half but it works.

I've tried the drinks shops offer, they do mask it, but i was also told my urine was too diluted,meaning it didn't have enough of the chemicals and proteins present in normal urine, to be a usable sample. Which is the same as failing.

yes there is a simple and fast way to get marijuana out of your system and it is called niacin.  take 500 mg of niacin and within an hour u r drug free.  buy an at home test to try it out.  niacin makes you very red and itchy for about 20 minutes, but it goes away.

If you smoke the day you have the test it will not show up in that test. Don't be stupid enough to smoke at 1am and expect to pass a test that night. Smoke when you have within 8 hours for the test. It won't have enough time to pass through your body and show in a urine sample.

you can flush the weed out of your system the day before the test. I know because i have done it.  Just drink lots of water and take b-complex vitamins.  Make sure you pee at least 45 minutes to an hour before you take the test.

No you will not pass the test if you do not use something to make it get out of your system. It will take 30 days if you smoke once and then if u smoke again it will restart. It will be in your hair for life, there is no way you can get it to go away. It takes 3-5 weeks in your mouth. No matter what you do, you have to wait the 30 days unless you get something to clear your system. No matter how much water you drink it still wont work. I only heard of the pill and I only heard of drinking water once. I have failed a test for drinking water so I think that water does not work.

you all r stupid besides green girls, the only true way to get marijuana out of your system in a faster time then it normally takes( about 3-4 weeks ) you must either make a drink consiting all sorts of various drugs and fluids or take a tablet that specializes in removed reefer form your system, which can be found at, headshops or other various locations and perhaps.. dealers. drink 1-2 gallons of water on the day of the test and make sure your urine is clear.  I am on Federal probation and I was getting drug tested up to twice weekly.  Don't buy the products or hype that it takes a month. I'm proof it works and water will only mask it but thats all you need for the test. THC will still be in your system but because you're imbibing so much water your kidneys can only filter the water. if you smoke once it will take no more than a week to get out. if you smoke sometimes like 2 plus weeks. if you smoke all the time 30 or sometimes more days. try a lot of water, sweating it out (workout in the bathroom hard core with the shower on super hot) vitamins that will clear your system like b3 cranberry juice, azo, drink vodka for 3 days all day everyday or just go to a head shop and get some b clean. dont use someone elses urine . . . sometimes they watch you pee. trust me.

yo i don't know what you guys think but i'm in treatment and if you are trying to get ride of weed in your system don't drink alot of water it makes them suspect something cuz when you get tested it testes in levels so when they see that you have been drinking alot of water it looks weird, pickle juice i don't think works for some people so if you want it out of your system 2 pots of black coffee an some water WILL HELP YOU cuz it makes you pee like pregnant laddie lol ya...     ? what kind of pill will get it out of your system within 3 days thats not expensive?!

i smoked everyday for about 3-4 years. i quit for one week before iw as going to get drug tested and passsed every1 for 6 weeks straight. im super skinny so i think taht had a little to do with it. all these people sayin that it takes a month probably ahvent ever had to quit, or are fat, but i was still suprised it only took a week to get outa my system

Ok, listen. It takes 3-4 weeks for your system to become clean since the last time you have smoked. And right when you find out you have a drug test start drinking alot of water and then you can drink a gallon of water right before the drug test and drink pickle juice too and you should pass. Also you can take some water pills, some will make your body burn for a while, but just take them before you go to bed and try to fall asleep before it burns and that should help too. Good Luck!

if you drink enough water like a 24 pack aday of 20 oz it should be out in a week or a couple more days according to how fat you are

i weigh 189 lbs with 30% body fat and it only took a week and a half

If you need to pass a urine drug test you probaly should do  this exactually 2hours ahead of time by drinking 1 certo jelly package and take 2 multivitamins and then drink a gallon of water in those two hours before the drug test. If you follow these rules i graunteed you well pass the test. but make sure and pee alot and finish that gallon of water and don't eat nothing in those two hours good luck i know i pass mine for my probation officer.

Nothing will work but time, sorry you can drink as much as you want of anything you can possibly find, but it will not do anything trust me i have failed a test for a job and i drank tons of water along with one of those detox things from GNC but still failed and i am currently in a little trouble and have to take drug tests every week and trust me nothing but time works its stored in your fat cells and no drink or pill or anything will flush it out the only thing i can tell you and its definitly not 100% is to work out all the time i mean burn all the fat you possibly can and honestly you will still probably fail but it should speed the process up a little.....bottom line is it takes at least 30 days not 9 or 13 or 4 it takes AT LEAST 30 days period.

Niacin helps.  It's a fat burner.  It will burn you like hell, and if you don't know about it then you have to be careful.  I use to take like 5-8 a day and drank a lot of water and it was out of my system in a week and a half.  But you have to be careful.  Drinking lots of water and taking Niacin depletes the vitamins in your body.  Really once you feel it you see it's not worth it.  Oh one more thing, you don't want the one that says "No Flush".  You want the one that causes the flush.  You will feel your skin getting hot.  The higher the MGs. the better.  Preferably 500 mgs or more.  You should also make yourself do something to sweat.

My friend blazed every day for a week and a half, maybe two weeks and got tested less than 72 hours later and tested clean. Yes, he did flush his system by drinking a lot of water. If you're clean, and you smoke once, that pot will most likely leave your system in less than a week, maybe even a couple days. Body fat does factor into it though. check erowid.org for accurate information. If you're clean, and you smoke for a week, give yourself about a week or two for a clean test. Don't do nothing though. Drink lots of water, take B Vitamins and possibly cranberry pills (for your urinary tract) and you'll test clean. I blazed for a week, and i'mgiving myself about 2 weeks to clean up. Don't fret man.

Water is your friend.

only a few of you have actually provided a true answer for how long it will take for the "stuff" to get out of your systems. It really depends on whether or not you are fat. If you are not fat, then you will get it out faster, because the marijuana would be stored in your fat. So if you run a mile, and drink lots of water, you will lose a lot of the fat that was holding the marijuana and you will probably flush out whatever was in you, by doing that. No, it does not take 3-4 weeks, not even 2 weeks. If you just dont be a dumb ass and you run and drink water you can probably get it out within a few days, givin' you have ran at least a mile each day, that is.

weed should be out of your system within 30 days, at the most depending on your body type. And like greengirl said, there is a great thing a head shop called Ready Clean that will clean out your system for only 5 hours. Well it dosen'tactually clean it but it will disguise it for you. So if you drink it the day you have to take that test you will pass it GUARANTEED!! follow the instructions though!! it costs about 40$ though... BUT IT DOES WORK!! i promise! it worked for me!!

If i am correct, I have reason to believe..that when you get drug tested, as long as the person knows you have been smoking..like you got arrested for posession..they don't go by the actuality of having THC in your system..they go by the levels. I also think that taking niocin works..but if you do take that..make sure you take benedril to cancel out the normal allergic reaction. but what do i know..i just got arrested..and have yet to take my first test.

If you've smoked recently, you need to give yourself at least 2 weeks for your system to get cleared. You must also drink lots and lots of water. I mean lots!!! If your drug test is coming up soon, you can go to walmart and purchase Niacin for 5 bucks. Take it 2 to 3 times a day and lots of water until the drug test. LOTS OF WATER. It works, trust me. I do it all the time.

I had a drug test about 8 or 9 days after i smoked and i passed. so body weight does have a factor but it depends on how often u smoke and what u smoke. Like if u smoke regs it shouldn't take as long as Crippy........but sometimes that is not always true either. it's also how much u smoke..

You can pass a drug test no matter how much you smoke or what you have been doing!!! You have to drink a lot of water (liters) a couple of hours before the test. You will need to eat light meals (or no meals) while you are preparing for the test. The massive amount of water will dilute your urine and make it impossible to detect. Some testers may question how clear your urine is, so, if your take a vitamin B-12 it will put the color back in. You must be careful drinking too much water at one time because this has known to be fatal. GOOD luck!!!!! JAY

If I quite smoking marijuana tommorrow the 9th and take a urine test for my lifeguarding job on april 9th would I pass?

If its a swab test and u have smoke before than u will most likly pass because of the cotton mouth

It takes around a month no matter how much you hope it takes a week. My best advice is to eat healthy,exercise, drink tons of water and green tea consistently for 2 weeks and this should help you pass your test. If you want to make sure that you are clean you can purchase a drug test at any drug store for 10 dollars or so before your test and that will confirm any doubts.

Ive heard a lot of different ways to detox within a couple days,Green Tea, White Grapefruit Juice and possibly Cranberry Juice. Also exercise would defeinatly help.

I am a pro at this.
pickel juice can work and even vinager mixed with honey and water can work but the best way is to purchase a kit from a head shop if you cant afford one the the next best way is to drink lots of water stay away from fatty foods and the day of testing drink water untill you feel sick and more. continue right up untill time of test urinating very often. thats all you can do.

It doesnt take pot 2 weeks to get out of your system it could take as little as 24 hours if your NOT a chronic user

im 15 my mom keeps threatening to take me to get a test... but i talk her out of it everytime.... but if i did do it, and she brought me would i  get caught im only 100 pounds and really skinny..... i smoke it often.... but i dont want to get caught HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

is it true that cranberry juice can get weed out of my system faster if i drink it everyday, because i hear that from a friend and i know it has a natural enzyme that helps flush out stuff in your body, so i wanted to know if that was true.

to pass if you only smoke about one a week.. it will take 3-6 days

if you smoke more like 2-4 a week it might take from 12-22 days

if you smoke more than that about 35 days

to flush your system faster drink alot of water, and cranberry juice, and-or pickle juice... pee alot and excerise alot.. it will be gone

to tell you the truth i really dont think that there's away to get it out your system bc drinking water rill reduce but its still there, pickle juice absolutly dont work, i think that the only way for it to get our your system is to wait unless you want to spend $50 to $100 for a product that they spend $2 on the supplies so just wait and i guess drink water it reduces it so pick your poison

if your clean and u weight 150 pounds or less and u smoke just enough to get high it should be out of your system in 5-6 days worked for me

If ive smoked a kilo o' reef, then take heroin and ice in the same syringe then drop like 10 bikies then have a pack of tic tacks 10 minutes before the test is there any chance of me passing the test, cos i really need this job as a traffic officer

there are many factors in passing a marijuana test. how often you smoke. quality of weed. body fat composition. matabolism. im a skinny kid. gotten it out in 2 days

I think that it depends on the person if your active and drink alot of water and yes pickle juice does work but only because of the vinager so just go with that.... then your likely to pass. even days before....

You can get weed out of your system many different ways. All you have to do is stop smoking weed 4 days before your drug test, drink a lot of water and cranberry juice to flush your system, or you can go out and get a gel called serto, and you mix it in with kool-aid and it will be out of your system in a day.

well if you don't have THC built up in your system, if you were clean and then smoked once or twice you can be clean in 3 to 6 days. if you use niacin pills and detoxifiers you can clean out in days. you can also use certo which is fruit pectin used to make jelly. you just have to put one certo jell pack in about 32 oz of apple juice and drink the whole thing in under 15 mins then wait an hour and a half or so once you start peeing clear liquid your clean for a window of about 3 hours. i used it for probation officer and it worked. good luck

look i dont hardley ever smoke pot so im kinda new at this, i smoked only 2 hits off a joint like 20 days ago. i weigh 182 and im 5'8"    
with like 14% bodyfat do  u think i can pass a mouth swab in 2 days.

marijuana can stay in your system at times even for three months although that is rare usually takes about 2 to 3 weeks that are  a couple of things you can do go to  your local smoothie store they sell this product called wheat grass cleans out your system take once a day for three days and you are good to go cranberry juice is also very good

You should drink 4 oz of apple cider vinegar and alot of water your system will flush the weed out all depends on how much you smoked and amount of days. Craneberry juice and aleve also helps believe me I have done it numerous amount of time and have passed on the urine drug test.
