I have a 1973 porsche 911 T targa all original. I would like to change the body to look like a 77 or so 911 turbo but with wider flairs and newer bumpers. What's your opinion? I want to do the ethical porsche thing?porsche

Hi Genaro,

I recommend you do not ( repeat do not ) make any changes to your 1973 T Targa. This is in many people's opinion the best year 911 made! If you flair the fenders the originality of the car is lost. You can change over to the rubber bumpers (if they are not rubber already ). These are sold by Performance Products and really do not change the structure of the car. You can also add a tail if the car does not have a duck tail already but make sure you keep the original lid and use another lid for the tail.

Just my comments I would hate to see you lose the value of an original.

Thanks,

Keith

I would convert it to a 1973 911 RS. Put new front and rear bumpers on, front and rear flairs, a 911 RS duck tail, 911 RS door panels, and new wheels. Depending on the condition of your car, I think you can increase both the value and the looks of your car by doing this
