I can think of three types - The a series with the cylinder retained by a double D on the back of the plug, turn 45 counterclockwise or 135 clockwise while pulling on the inner spindle to disenguage it from the plug. Pick or rap the cylinder open as the plastic cylinder makes impressioning hard. The style with truarc retaining rings including the weiserbolt have a threaded cylinder cap that comes off after the retaing pin is depressed. These can be shimmed also. The cylindrical with an access hole at the base of the knob. Most functions can be disasembled so the cylinder can be shimmed if you can't pick the lock. Raping these damages the knob shell. They have a brass cylinder but impressioning them is a lot of practice.
