I am looking for a reliable absinthe recipe. OK, it is on sale in some clubs out here, but I'm looking for something more potent. All the kick I imagined there to be has been removed from the local stuff. I have checked the net and recipe's differ quite radically. I'm looking to make about 2 750ml bottles to test. Is there anybody who uses it regularly, who can give me some advice? Much appreciated.

here's one of them INGREDIENTS: 1 cup vodka 1 teaspoon crumbled wormwood (dried) 2 tablespoons chopped peppermint leaves 1 piece lemon peel 3/4" by 2" 1 speezed lemon 1/2 sugar syrup PROCEDURE: Soak wormwood in vodka for 48 hrs. Strain out and add peppermint leaves and lemon peel. Steep for 8 days, strain and sweeten. Smells and taste good with bitter after taste with the green fairy effect.
