i have yet to be tested by my work facility but i have bought tests and home tested myself 2 times, and have come up negative. The cut off is the legal, present day cut off of 50mg. Also, to further help you, it has been studied and proven that even being in the same room or car as smokers the max THC level detected is maybe 20 mg. The THC will stay in your system for a couple days, and if constantly around the smoke, a little longer. However, as mentioned before, while you have the THC in your system, it is not enough to give you a positive result. After your husband is done smoking and the air has cleared a little, open windows and air out your house. Not only will it get rid of any residual smoke, it will also leave your house smelling better and a lot clearer than it has been. I know the answer is a little late, but good luck!

cant fail from 2nd hand . U can go it to the smokeeeist room and will nevr fail. 7-10 daus if u smoke says my friends probation ofiicer.

I do not smoke marijuana. My husband does. I am in a situation where, should I test positive for cannibus, it would be life-altering. I have tried to leave the room, even go outside. This is my life, literally. Am I in danger from my husband's second hand marijuana? Thank you.

Yes, You can test positive. I did. Especially for probation- trace amounts of marijuana can be detected after being exposed to secondhand smoke. Certain tests start at different levels. For the government-positive means positive. Employers usually donot spend on as thorough of a test.

IF you don't actually take a hit of his joint or bong, then no, you wouldn't test positive. I smoke constantly for chronic low back pain and my husband sits rigt next to me while I smoke and he's been tested several times...all negative.

Well, just for the record, I've been clean for six months, but my husband still smokes marijuana. Sometimes I'm around it, and I occasionally breathe in the smoke on accident. My point is, I just tested positive for THC in my urine, so I don't care what anyone says I KNOW you can fail a urine test from just being around the smoke.

Honestly I hate marijuana and everything to do with it, but i have been involved with it and am quite educated. No one can guarantee you will not have cannabis in your system, but it is HIGHLY unlikely. second hand close-to never shows up in a ua and if it does they can find out why. dont worry. tell your husband to smoke outside (nicely) if he says no dont worry

in the drug abuse classes they say the half life of pot is 4 days so 4+4 is 8 days that is if you dont smoke heavily though. i stopped for 17 days and passed but i have a fast metabolism and weigh only 140.

I have a few things I am worried about. A friend of mine, his sisters smoke Pot.. they did it in a room that I was not in, with the fan on.. but I could still smell it really well I wanted to get a job soon and I don't want anything bad to happen if they find out I have anything in my body. I don't know what I would do if that were the case I hope someone can help me

I used to take a drug test once a week in this program called C.R.A.S.H. and another seperate test with my probation officer once every month. At the same time I rolled around with friends in hotboxed cars(smoking weed in a car with the windows rolled up) almost everyday so I was always saturated with marijuana smoke. I breathed normally as if I was breathing fresh air. I would feel a little buzzed and would stress out when I had to take my urine test but I never came up positive. So to those who worry about this,DON'T TRIP! you will only test positive if you chose to take a drag of that blunt or that hit from the bong. Peace!

I just looked this up on the web and found that you must have 50ng/ml of cannibus in your urine to test "positive" for marijuana use. Most people who inhale secondhand smoke (passive inhalation) test at about 5ng/ml, with the highest rate reported being 23ng/ml. So even if you are the highest rating, you are still well under the limit of 50ng/ml.

I've been I numerous rehabs and court ordered situations and Have Been told By many of people tha you can not test Positive for marijauana by 2nd Hand smoke. My friend also said that they did some test where they smoked joint in an enclosed small room and they did not test poitive for marijuana

No matter the amount of marijuana second hand smoke, you will Never have enough thc in your system to test positive for marijuana on a test. it is true that BITS of thc can be in your system for a day or two BUT not nearly enough to test positive , because tests are created very acurrately. so you dont need to worry about your husbands habitual activities =]

If you keep the room well-ventilated (fan or cracked window) you should be just fine. Just make sure you're not breathing visible smoke floating in the air. Even if you do inhale a very low concentration your body would process it in just a couple days. On another note, have you confronted your husband about the risks his habit is imposing on you.

It is very uncommon to test positive for cannabis if you are only second hand smoking. Even if you are in an extremaly smokey room. If you still feel uncomfortable cannnabis can be flushed out of the system in 2 to three days with only 8 glassess of water for the next 3 days prior to smoking or second hand smoking.

it depends on how much smoke you are around... i have been doing research for a project. most doctors say that if you are in a situation that the smoke is thick to an extreme that it will burn your eyes then yes you will test positive. if it is not a lot they say your chances aren't as high. try to stay away from the smoke all that you can.. it could be just as dangerous as smoke from tobacco..
