The cruise control on my 2001 tundra looses its speed...

The cruise control on my 2001 tundra looses its speed setting when it is disengaged and you slow down below a set speed. is this normal?

Yes this is normal.  If you speed drops below 25mph.  This is a standard spec for most all auto makers.

I have a 2000 year Toyoda Tundra, V8 engine.  With the cruise control activated, when I press on the break, the cruise control light flashes on and off.  I have to power off the cruise control and power it back on before it will activate again.  What could be causing this problem??
