We recently found and adopted two labs abandoned in our neighborhood. There is a female yellow lab who appears to be older and a young black male both appear to be pure bred.  I have assumed they are related to each other but really don't know.  I have noticed that the male is not neutered and today it seems that he is very attracted to the female-Could this be the start of her heat?  What happens if mom or sister breeds with son or brother.  Are dogs attracted to each other if they are related?  What are the ramifications if inbreeding occurs?  Is there anyway to tell if they are related to each other.  It is clear these dogs have not been taken care of and we want to provide them good homes because they are great dogs.  We have always dreamed of dogs like these for our family.  This is all happening quickly and they are inseperable but do I need to seperate them.  We do plan on getting them fixed but are still wanting to confirm that they are our's  It been three weeks and no one has responded to losing them or a found ad.  Can you help we don't want to have inbred dogs but how do we know for sure and what happens if they hook up?
