I just got an 8 month old chihuahua who is very timid and scary. He is a little underweight due to an incident of having worms. How do I get him to open up to us and gain more weight. His previous owners neglected him and he seems real timid. He lunges back when we try to pet him like he is expecting us to hit him. I need help!! I want him to act like a normal dog.  Any suggestions?
