I just replaced a transmission in my 1991 VW Passat with a used one of the same year. The Problem I have is when I try to select drive on the shifter the digital display on the dash will not shift to the D selection. Selection 1,2,3,N,R,P all work but it by passes D when I try to select it The position on the selector handle for D acts as a second neutral. What is the problem?
