my female lab has false pregnancies and does not come into...

my female lab has false pregnancies
and does not come into heat. she is 2
years old, does anyone know what we can do
about this? We would like to breed her

Before you breed her, she should have clearances for her hips/elbows with OFA and have her eyes checked by a canine eye doctor (ACVO).  While we only do hips/elbows once after the dog reaches the age of 2 years, the eyes need to be done yearly.

Having said that, it could be that your female might have an hormonal imbalance.  Generally, most females come into season every 6-9 months, but you can have one that only cycles yearly too.

You can consult with a reproduction specialist veterinarian, but usually we spay those females that have hormonal imbalances since they could pass that on to the next generation.

You probably just don't notice that she is in heat.  I bet if this was a house dog you would see spots of blood once every seven months or so...sometimes labs don't show signs of swelling like other dogs...pay closer attention...
